Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
CBT focuses on how our Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors are all interconnected. At it's core, using CBT strategies we will examine negative thought processes as a means of adjusting our feelings and actions.Â
Internal Family Systems
IFS therapy examines various traits within us, also known as parts. The founder of IFS, Dr. Richard Swartz, reinforces that there are no bad parts. Our parts develop with good intentions to help us, however, they can lead to internal conflict.

IFS therapy focuses on examining our parts as a means of healing wounded parts and unburdening them from any perceived negative protective behaviors.
EMDR targets traumatic memories that are not fully processed in the brain. The goal of EMDR is to desensitize (lessen the sting) of the memory and reprocess any negative beliefs to positive supportive beliefs.
Â
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation that can be eye movements, tapping, or sounds as a means of accessing both sides of our brain to engage in the reprocessing.Â

EMDR is one of my favorite therapy modalities that can bring a person to true healing from a painful past.
